Gold / Silver Gilt Thimble!

Bought this Thimble at local carboot fair yesterday and not sure if it’s Gold or Silver Gilt !!!. Only mark I can find seems to be this tiny punch mark, definitely not magnetic and no verdigris anywhere . Name is Gabrielle. Looks like an Eagles or Vultures head !!!
Have added pic of inner side of punch mark.

French, gold - 100%.

This one is on the inside of the thimble, it’s the back of the eagles head punch mark

A French gold thimble , MARK OF ALFRED FEAU, PARIS, CIRCA 1890 | Christie’s

Thank you for those marks Bart, I’ll dig my microscope out and see if I can make something out of that mark. I’ve just examined the thimble a bit closer and Both of those marks are on the outside and inside directly opposite each other but they are tiny. Have a Great day my friend and Thank you once again

My modest experience and dealing with hundreds of different objects has taught me to look for signatures under a magnifying glass, centimeter by centimeter… Until I succeed! Good luck, my friend! I can’t wait to see the results.

Sometimes I use jeweler’s glasses with lights, and I sketch the shape of the signature as I go. A tiring method, but effective.

I’ve got loops, magnifying glasses, and even jewellers glasses, but this one I believe requires the Big Guns the microscope which I don’t get to use much. At first I thought those marks were just wear and tear, but now I’m intrigued to look closer and learn a bit more about the marks thanks to your valuable input . I’ll keep you posted
