H.W. Eager Silverware

Need help locating any information regarding a silver maker H.W. Eager. I have a sterling? serving spoon with only this name imprinted. I cannot find ANY information ANYWHERE which is extremely odd. Appreciate any assistance

Show us a picture of all marks. The name may be a retailer rather than maker, and you seem to be doubting whether the spoon is even silver.

Hi,
Just a further update…H.W.Eager (1846-1916) was apparently a jeweler who owned Brigham&Eager jewelry store in Marlborough, MA. from 1878 to his death. His store did sell silver goods. The trademark next to his name on the spoon appears to be the mark of E.H.H. Smith Silver Company of Bridgeport, CT. What I can’t determine if it is sterling or silverplate. I sent a picture

If it doesn’t say “sterling” the assumption has to be that it is plated.
