I am not fully convinced, Bart. The mark shown in your link is the same as the one shown by Rainwater (S in a square with hollowed corners) but I cannot find the mark on your salts anywhere on the net. The point which particularly makes me doubt an American maker is the pair of seemingly British flags. The mark doesn’t come up in the silvercollection.it lists of British electroplaters - maybe it’s Australian or Canadian?

I haven’t come across a similar signature anywhere either. But you may be right that the item comes from Australia, because that’s where my father lives, and I get a lot of antiques from him.
