Harrison Teapot...

Hello,

I brought this teapot from a bootsale recently, and I have no idea what the date is, or what it is made of, or even if it is Harrisons?. Is anybody would be able to help me identify it, it would be much appreciated. It has some letters stamped into the bottom which are, H.W. LTD, C , P , B , M . Then it has some numbers 1454 GILL.

Kind Regards,

That is the mark of Henry Wilkinson of Sheffield. The C.P.B.M marks is actually E.P.B.M. for Electro Plated Britannia Metal, an alloy similar to pewter and then silver plated.

Thank you for the information, do you know the date? or even possibly its worth?

The date would probably be in the last quarter of the 19th century. As to the value; I am sorry to say that Britannia Metal pieces do not command high prices. Probably no more than £30 in auction.

Ok, Thank You very much for all your help
