Hi all, hope I don’t embarrass myself with this, but I don’t have a good feel for the age, metal composition, and country of origin of this heavily chased and repousse “silver plate” teapot. Indo-islamic? Ottoman/Turkish? Moroccan? 19th C.? 20th C.? The pot seems to be maybe a silver or tin alloy over copper or brass, based on the feel and what looks like a bit of brass or copper peeking through on the lid’s inner rim. The only mark on the bottom is where someone etched “S.B. '99” The pot measures 9" H x 12" W (across the handle). Appreciate your thoughts.
Update: This may be Kashmiri tinned copper although the form is unusual.
