Help identify hallmark/age/material of Claret Jug

Could anyone help me identify what the symbols on this Jug mean, and if you could help me figure out the age/materials used?

The material is almost certainly electroplate; it definitely is not silver. The manufacturer was John Grinsell & Sons, a Birmingham company, who were in business c1875 - c1950.
