help identifying double crown silver candlesticks

Hi

Purchased a set of four of these at auction, listed as silverplate, not really familiar with silver but the only markings I can find on this are on the top of the base. Its two crowns, one sitting above the other, no letters or numbers. i checked all 4 have the same mark, and nothing else I can find.

These are probably the original owners’ (two of them perhaps?) emblems rather than a maker’s mark. A heraldry expert will probably be able to tell you the rank of the owner from the crown / coronet style.

Can you recommend any forums or sites for me to go to? i briefly tried looking and its a bit overwhelming.
