Help identifying military JR&S spoon

Hi, I’ve been given this spoon by a family member and am struggling to find much information about it.

Wondering if anyone else has seen anything similar regards to the sick quarters engraving? I would like to try and date it from the hallmarks and find out a bit more about what it was made for but can’t find much.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

I can’t enlighten you any on the “Sick Quarters” engraving but I can tell you that the spoon cannot be dated as it is electroplate not silver. The manufacturer was John Round & Son of Sheffield.

Phil

Thanks for the information. Shame to know it can’t be dated from the hallmarks. Would have been great to know how it came into the family.

Thanks,
Jake.
