Hey I have an old sterling silver chain purse. I can’t find the symbol under sterling anywhere to identify it. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you!
STERLING.
I may not be old, but my eyes sometimes fail me. Today’s technology allows for so much… You just have to put in the effort… I don’t read tea leaves, spin a crystal ball, or communicate with the afterlife. I rely on my senses. Take a high-resolution photo, preferably in macro mode.

Hey sorry this is about as good as I can get it on my iPhone. Hope this helps. Look like some sort of bee or butterfly? Sterling in in cases in a rectangle box. Thanks
I think the bag is German, made by Ernst Gideon Bek Inc., which produced a lot of these types of sterling handbags. They were sold in the US by Binder Bros., Inc., before WWI. During WWI their stock in the US was seized and purchased after the war by Binders.
Very cool! Thanks a lot Jeff!
