Hi could someone help identify what these two sterling silver item might be called and used for?? Also makers mark EV?
Tea strainer and a slop bowl to sit it on when not in use. The bowl catches the drips from the strainer.
EV shows that the maker is Viners of Sheffield. EV are the initials of the founder of the company Emil Viner.
The hallmarks are Sheffield 1935 (s) and 1938 (v).
