Help Needed re: Hallmarks

Hi, I’m from Australia and new here - thanks for having me. I’m on a steep learning curve regarding silver and hallmarks.

I appreciate your expertise. Thankyou.

This is not a hallmark - it’s not sterling. I’ve found the same mark on another piece, but at the moment, the name of the maker eludes me:

Silverplate teapot

G’day Crofty and welcome to the Forum, some Full photos of your items would be nice as sometimes the Style and makeup tells a better story than the marks of a piece

EPBM (Electro Plated Britannia Metal).

Ah, yes. The original photo is upside down. Given that this is inexpensive silverplate, there may not be a maker’s mark at all.

ETA: Britannia metal, which is a type of pewter, should not be confused with Britannia silver, which is real silver, and more pure (.958) than sterling (.925). Anything made from that would carry proper hallmarks, of course.

Thanks for taking a look…. I think this is a small sugar bowl 9cm diameter
