Help needed with sponsor mark J.G and what these knives was originally used for?

Some help please with sponsor mark and would be called dinner knives or not?

JG is perhaps John Gilbert of Birmingham. As your knives are electroplated the marks are specifically the manufacturer’s mark. The knives are fish knives.
