I can’t understand why this spoon seems to have more than one date mark? Any help identifying it would be great!
No date marks here at all as this is not a silver hallmark. It is probably electroplate with the B and P standing for Britannia Plate - electroplated Britannia metal. Britannia metal is a base metal alloy with a similar composition to pewter. The anchor is clearly meant to deceive the unwary into thinking that this is Birmingham silver. Unfortunately I cannot identify the manufacturer.
