Help trying to find out about these pair

Hi all

I am trying to do a bit of research on a pair of (what i first thought were pewter) greyhounds/whippets.

From what i have gleamed so far is they could possibly be french & from the artist Antoine Louis Barye (1796-1875). However i am not getting my hopes up.

Just wondering does anybody know what they are?

They need cleaning & have no bases they looked like they have been removed. I think that they are either Pewter, Spelter or possibly bronze. There is a slight scratch on them & it shows a silver colour, yet i can also see a bronze colour on them. As you can probably tell i am totally confused.

Unfortunately i can see no markings on them

Hopefully you may have some ideas

Many thanks
