Help with a silver plate mark

Hi all im new to the antique collectors area.
could anyone help identify this mark please, i just cannot decide what the first letter is, its from a teapot, sugar and milk set…

It’s an E, but that leaves us with E&S, which is one of the [many] unidentified makers of electroplate. Nice design, however - I like them!

If the G stands for Glasgow I would hazard a guess that E&S might be Edward & Sons.

thankyou for taking time to assist, they were £8 off vinted i was convinced it was an F so thanks for clearing that up … so the G is seperate to the makers name ?

Yes the G is in a different typeface and contained in a different surround. Although it was neither a rule nor universally followed we often see that electroplaters included the initial letter of their city with their marks; thus S for Sheffield and B for Birmingham for example, which is why I suggested that the G might signify Glasgow.
