Can anyone help me identify this hallmark on a silver (silverplate?) tray with a shell motif? It looks like Sheffield to me, but I am a complete novice. Thanks for your help! 
Although it’s a crown it’s not a Sheffield crown. I don’t recognise the mark but the letters look like S G E P to me, so probably electroplate (certainly not solid silver).
Thanks for weighing in. The tray is extremely heavy and is not marked electroplate or silverplate, etc. anywhere. The only markings are those in the photograph. Maybe someone else can identify the maker. Thanks.
