Hi, I have this candlestick holder that appears to be a copy of one that was designed by Jens Quistgaard for Dansk in the (50’s?) it was originally made in cast iron.
This one looks very similar, but is made of 925 Mexico silver. Jens’ design is often referred to as a “spider” or “Sputnik” candle holder. I see the eagle mark, but can’t read the number. Would someone have copied Jens or did Jens copy the Mexican artist? Thank you!

Jens Harald Quistgaard (April 23, 1919 – January 4, 2008) was a Danish sculptor and designer, known principally for his work for the American company Dansk Designs, where he was chief designer from 1954 and for the following three decades.
