Hunting thrift stores for silver for the last year

Its always a rush finding silver under melt.

All of this stuff is marked sterling or 925…

I’ve ended up with a lot of plated stuff too because I enjoy old, neat looking stuff.

My best piece was the old napkin ring. I got it at a goodwill discount store where they sell stuff by weight. The employee told me none of the stuff there was real or worth anything while ringing me up. It literally cost 5 cents for 35 grams of sterling.

The one I use the most is the half dollar coin on the sterling chain (I wear it daily… Not big on jewelry, but it’s my good luck charm for hunting coins.)

I got the coin, the chain, and like 100 other grams of marked sterling (plus an authentic pearl necklace on a 14k gold chain) for 15 bucks in a big bag of costume jewelry from goodwill.

So far I’m up to ~700 grams of silver for maybe 100 bucks.
