Hi, can anyone please help to identify this lapel pin. It was amongst my mother’s posessions and I took a liking to it but know nothing about silver. I have tried to identify it through internet searches with no luck at all, I have included pictures. Size is approx 3cm lon, 2.3cm high, 0.8cm deep plus pin. It weighs around 8g. It is marked SILVER on the back of the front leg, and has some letters or initials on the back of one of the back legs that I think read V/MX, though it could be WMX, or if read the other way round could be XW/A, please see pictures.
I would be grateful if anyone could give me some guidance on the origins or date of this piece. Thank you.
