Hi all,
Trying to find more information about a solid silver imported cigarette case details below. Can anyone identify the makers mark with HM stamped within a star of david or star.
Case is dated 1922 with a import mark from the London assay office.
There is a possible makers name L’exquisite by the makers mark ? Maybe french but who made it in Europe? Thanks all
N・M or M・M?)__)()()()()())(

Yes think its N M, L Exquisite, then 6 pointed {2 triangle or star of david) i have seen the 2 triangle star used in german makers marks before but with different letter. So its possibly jewish company based in Germany before ww2? Maybe
It would be good to know the maker
Thanks

“N・M” or “M・M” - sponsor’s mark.
Its either
N. M
OR
H.M
1922 it has 0.935 silver stamped by the makers mark but obviously when imported into the london uk assay office they have to mark it as 0.925 sterling silver.
I think Austria used a lot of 0.935 silver during 1922 so it could be an Austrian maker?
Many thanks all
