I have 3 pieces of silverware and trying to establish if they are EPNS or silver. Would someone be able to help me? I’ve recently started collecting silverware but my silverware knowledge is limited.
None of these is silver. They are all English so, if silver, would be required to have a hallmark. From the top:
- Amnora is a trade name used by Adolph Scott Ltd of Birmingham (hence A S B). It may be a base metal alloy.
- JY&S is John Yates & Sons of Birmingham - it may be electroplate
- C Bros is Cooper Brothers & Sons of Sheffield. This is definitely electroplate (EP and A1)
