Identify Silver/Silverplate Basket Bowl?

Hi,

I am new here, so I hope I am posting in the right section. I am trying to find out if this basket/bowl may be silver or silverplate. It is very pretty, but I have no idea what it is.
The only mark I can find is on the bottom, and it says Made in the USA.

It’s highly unlikely to be silver. I would expect it to be stamped “sterling” at the very least.
