Identifying hallmarks

We have recently inherited some silverware but I have no idea how to read the hallmarks. Was looking for some help? There is a lot of silver cutlery and what we think is a silver teapot. Any help would be great.

These are both electroplaters’ marks so unfortunately your silverware is not solid silver.

D&A are Daniel & Arter of Birmingham. Their mark comprises a B for Birmingham, then E and P in a Gothic or Old English script for ElectroPlate and then D&A’s trademark.

We do not have comprehensive records for electroplaters but A&CoLtd are almost certainly Arthur & Co Ltd of Glasgow (hence the G).
