If I had to guess, I’d say it’s London sterling from the 1916-1935 cycle, just based on the shapes of the punches. Too rubbed to say anything more precise or definitive than that!

If forced to make a guess, I’d say the date letter is “g,” for 1922.
The maker’s mark is likely to be a long, difficult search, since the beginning of the mark is the most mangled.
