Hi- I have a large serving tray marked “Argento 800”. After reading various things on message boards, I’m still having a hard time figuring out if it’s actually 800 silver or if it’s silver plated. Also, I would appreciate it if anyone could tell me anything about the maker: “Fratelli Venezian”. They’re hard to find info on too. Any help would be awesome!

Hello, I would recommend you test to see if it is solid silver or silver plated. Here in Brazil, there are a lot of Italian cutlery items with the Italy 800 engraving, but they are only silver plated.
