I have a teapot with the L& W marks but it has another Mark I would like some assistance with.
This mark is an English design registration mark and tells us exactly when the design was registered - so your teapot must have been made at some time after then. For how to decipher the mark see here, but this combination means that the item is made of metal and was registered on 4th February 1879 (assuming that the letter to right is “Y”).
