Could you please whether I’m reading this correctly? Is it London 1801? I’m not sure as there is no city mark and there is the crown above the letter.

Maybe Sheffield 1803? The letters have crowns then in some cases and maker could be Thomas Law
I agree with nightkitchen’s identification. This form of the Sheffield mark with crown and date letter combined in various arrangements was used on smaller items between 1780 and 1853.
