Hi, We have a Mappin Brothers silver plate wine holder which we believe to be circa 1870. We are considering selling this piece & would be interested to know an approximate value. We inherited several pieces of silver, some plate, some sterling, from my Father back in 2005 & these have been carefully wrapped in tissue & polythene & boxed in the loft since then. The items were all tarnished somewhat before we packed them away & we’ve been advised to leave them as they are & send them to auction uncleaned? Thank you.
