Matching Small Gorham Dishes

I have a pair of two small, (3in across) dishes by Gorham. they are stamped “Sterling Gorham 384” Does this mean they are sterling silver? I can’t seem to find “384” anywhere for a clarification, my guess is they are if it says “sterling”.

Hi there and thanks for joining us. As you know, Gorham is an American company and the word “sterling” on American silver means it is indeed “sterling silver”, or 92.5% pure silver and 7.5% another metal, usually copper.

The number is the model or pattern number and has no relation to the metal purity.

Uncle Vic
