Does anyone recognise this hallmark? Is this a Murano bead or Pandora? I have no clue at all!
Yes, I believe that’s correct. This looks like a Navajo Pearl, sterling silver beads that were usually strung together.
Now I find myself confused by Bart’s post. On the linked page, there doesn’t seem to be a word about Navajo jewelry, so I don’t understand why he’s posted the link. I thought, without checking, that he had found the same mark in a reference work. Next time, I’ll check first.
To be clear - I provided the link as a hint because I associated the unknown signature with Navajo symbolism. This silver pendant (charm) resembles Pandora jewelry, that’s a fact. I didn’t know it was covered with cubic zirconia. This changes the appearance of things and the scope of the search completely. I apologize that this time I did not provide the expected and complete answer - I am only human.
Since it opens like a Pandora and is pave rhinestones IMHO it is probably another jewelry maker of Pandora type beads and charms. Searching eBay for Pandora “type” or knockoff jewelry might help you find a match of the mark. It is not Murano since there is no typical glass element that characterizes Murano glass…
No Murano, no Navajo!
The style of this glass work is called Murano, but it is not necessarily associated with Italy. Several brands today produce pieces identical to these, they are called charms or trinkets, they were all the rage years ago and women still wear them. Pandora is the one who invented the trend.
Your guess is as good as mine…on DMD or CMD. What is your principle need in knowing what the correct maker is? I sell allot of jewelry and these type charms or beads sell with sterling mounts and different outsides pretty much in the same range. Buyers will mix and match different makers if they like the item. If I know your need or issue I can better help you.
OK here’s how to get a good idea. Go to eBay Research Product Research - eBay Seller Hub
Search on sold items with this link, try key words Pandora Beads, or Pandora Charms and them Pandora Type Charms or Beads. You will get an overview of what sold and at what prices (average) for the period of time you choose to search, 7 days, 30 days, 90 days up to 2 years.
That should give you some listings to look at to gauge what to ask price wise even though you don’t know the maker.
I searched on Pandora type beads -bracelet and came up with sold listings for Murano beads in the $15 range plus $9 shipping. You can use this tool for research to sell just about anything. Hope this helps
