Mustard spoon but is it silver?

Picked this up at the car boot for a pound, does anyone recognise these marks,no lion but one mark

looks like a Leopards head, id be very grateful for any information.

It’s not silver. Electroplate or a base metal alloy. Made by William Page & Co of Birmingham late 19th century.

You probably paid too much for it, but that’s just my opinon.

Thanks Phil, i paid a pound , so no great loss, theres a charity shop in Shepperton where i take all my speculative buys that turn out not to be what id hoped. . think ive worked out what the B stands for but didnt shout it out loud when i learnt its not silver…

Take a little time to learn what real sterling hallmarks look like, and you’ll cut down on these kinds of mistakes.

UK Sterling Hallmarks

I know quite a lfew Hallmarks, even rarer ones such as York and Newcastle on Tyne and foreign hallmarks such as the Half moon and crown fir German silver.,The spoon was a pound so im willing to take a gamble once in a while.I bought a yellowy brown trinket box at the same car boot for a tenner with an unfamiliar mark, it scraps at about £115 and is Iranian silver,it cleaned up nicely. .Heres a couple of pictures.
