Need help with identification

I have just acquired a lidded footed 800 silver box. I cannot identify the marks or what region it was made in. It is very fine. Attached are some pictures. Any information on the region, maker and year would be very helpful. Thank you.

This is an Italian mark. The central mark is the maker’s trade mark / logo and the right hand mark will identify the maker. It is of the form used from 1934 to 1944 and comprises the silversmith’s assigned identification number (which appears in your picture to be 48); in the centre is the fasces symbol of the Italian fascist government; and on the right should be 2 letters identifying the province. Unfortunately these are not legible in your picture and are required to completely identify the maker. Try cleaning out the mark and then photograph it in focus.
