I was raised to selflessly help people. To help whenever needed, and you’re capable of helping, regardless of the circumstances—that’s important, because I’m writing from the perspective of a former soldier. Being here, among such wonderful professionals and wonderful people, it’s impossible to succumb to the need for recognition. You are my teachers, and I am a faithful—sometimes rebellious—disciple. May God be with you!
That I presume is the Polish Army. Now, I gather one of the largest and most efficient in the world. I had an uncle who flew with the Polish Air force in WWI from about 1917 onwards. He was the last of the silver Tanquerays. Quite mad. Came to Canada and decided to make a living ferrying liquor into Prohibition US. Come WW II he was back in the UK airforce this time as an artist creating a fake airforce on the east coast of England. I met his sister years later. Eileen who used to compete for Spencer Tracy 's dubious affections on the polo fields in Hollywood with Hepburn.
I keep telling people in Canada, if Poland seemed indefensible in 1939 because of lack of defined borders, Canada, which doesn’t even know where its northern borders are, has a worse problem.
They remind me of the lack of success other people had had invading another large northern country with cold winters.
I remind them the war in Europe has already started with Russia coming directly for security assets. Russians I discovered decades ago when I inadvertently went to work for a Russian asset in Beirut are rather good at the covert stuff and with China backing them will take over Europe in the next decade without the majority of Europeans even knowing it has happened. Italy’s already done for.
Are you a general? I have a friend who claims his dad was a Marynarka admiral. His son, now in his 70’s used to be a shooter for a local bike club. I thought he meant snooker. But apparently I was wrong about that.
