New and need help with silver mark

This is such a neat website. Thank you for accepting me.

I just inherited this divided bowl. Pretty, but likely silver plate, but I can’t even find a mark for that and I’ve looked everywhere. It is a cross over a circle and stamped made in England. Thoughts?

That is a trade mark of Barker Brothers of Birmingham. It is either electroplate or a shiny base metal alloy - not silver.
