Hi , I tried to edit my last post but it wouldn’t let me so I thought I would make new post .
I’m hoping these photos are clearer of item and hallmark ? my camera is not very good .
Looking at the item I’m not sure now if the top and the bottom are supposed to be together ( that’s how it )

What you’ve got there is a marriage. The marks on the lid are for William Hutton & Sons, Sheffield, and the “BP” indicates that it’s Britannia Plate, i.e., just silverplate, not sterling.
However, Hutton sold out to James Dixon in 1930, so this piece is a quite a bit older than the 1962 penny that’s been embedded in it. I believe someone cobbled this together from leftover bits and bobs.
A curiosity, but not worth anything, I’m afraid.
