I have been trying to determine if a cigarette case was acquired in Australia during the war or not.
Not sure if this is the place as the case shows NICKEL SILVER " CHROME" MADE IN ENGLAND,
so it is not silver.
It was in my Dad’s stuff and he was stationed in Australia, March - September 1942, before moving to New Guinea (US 5th Air Force)
The case has a map of Australia on it, and there is a hallmark, but very blurred, on the edge of the case.
