Hi, this is my great grandfather’s watch. I told him I’d find out some good information on it but I can’t find any thing. Would love any information on the watch, any of the markings and the year? Thank you
The case is sterling silver and was hallmarked in Birmingham in the assay year 1885/86. The case maker was the partnership of Weill & Harburg (Louis Weill & Henry Harburg) who described themselves as watch manufacturers at 3 Holborn Circus, London EC.
