Hi I am a new member and have a question about this Olivant & Botsford Tray. I can’t find any info on it and needed a little help. Basically I was looking to confirm this is not a silver tray. I assume its plate as it is not Hallmarked or marked sterling anyplace I can see. The back is stamped Olivant and Botsford and below that a number which appears to be 2682. Very lightly hand engraved below that appears to be W29 then below that B_LB_11 Any info on this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you all in advance
I think that your assumption is correct. No hallmarks or other fineness indication almost invariable means that the item is electroplated.
