Please can someone help me identify the maker for my silver tea pot

Hi there , i have this lovely silver teapot but i am really struggling to work out the makers mark. I think maybe it is too worn. I have dated this piece to 1901 (i think). I’m hoping someone may be able to help me please. Thank you

I think you’ve got the date right - looks like London, 1901.

The maker is a tough one, since the mark is somewhat mangled. There are hundreds of them, and if you’re not sure of the initial letter, it’s tough to narrow down the search. No luck so far…

It occurs to me that the maker’s mark might be upside-down (not unusual), so maybe Hamilton & Co? But it’s not a good match.

It could be a really messed-up mark of Charles Stuart Harris:

Yes! That’s the best match I’ve seen.

Hi Phil , thank you for taking the time to help! I did see this mark and i thought the same. The bottom of the S definitely looks the same. Thank you , Lucy

Hi Jeff , thank you for responding. I agree that Phil’s looks like a really close match. Thank you for your advice. Lucy
