Can someone help me to identify who is the maker and in what year?
The hallmark is Sheffield 1978 (date letter E - upside down in your picture). The maker, MK, may be M Kamin & Co Ltd. They registered a similar mark at London and at Birmingham but I have not previously seen it with a Sheffield assay mark.
