I have been trying to identify this manufacturer for years. This pattern was sold by Kimbal & Sons, C. Wyman as well as Palmer & Bachelders. The patent date is listed on all the pieces as well as each seller.
It is engraved Pat’d Feb 1880 on each piece. Stamping does vary, some say Feb, some do not.
I found a patent issued to Durgin in 1880, with a similar description, but of course no drawing. The patent I found number was 11,655 dated February 17, 1880, on Google patent search. I can forward a copy of this if it would help.
