I bought these three silver serving spoons from an antique shop in st Andrew’s in 1989. I’m trying to identify the period from the Hallmark. Can anyone help please? Thank you.
Nice clear hallmarks tell us that these were assayed in Edinburgh in 1798:
The maker appears to be a still-unidentified “MC,” the second entry in the MC section here:
