Serving spoon - date stamp looks like a 1

I have this silver spoon and using Phil’s excellent resource of makers marks, I think DWJW hallmark is for Daniel & John Wellby. What I am finding difficult is the date mark looks like a 1.

The closest guess I am making which fits in with the era of Daniel & John Wellby is is this an i missing the dot, placing it at 1904.

Could someone give confirmation or better insight. Thank you.

It’s the letter L in lower case for 1906.
