Can anyone tell me about this shot glass. The silver shined up so beautifully. The mark is ver tiny and hard to see. The enamel work seems mid century.

I’m not sure there is any way of telling, absent any further markings. Not worth doing an XRF test.

Thank you. I think I will keep it as it is pretty and I would only get a few dollars for it at a yard sale. What is a XFR test? I am new to this.
Just fill it with vodka.

XRF = X-Ray Fluorescence. It’s a “gun” that pawn brokers, scrap metal dealers, and jewelers use to determine the composition of a metal object. Much more reliable than the other test methods, and non-destructive, but the equipment is pretty pricey.
I’m seeing a lot more of these out there, some enameled on brass, others on what appears to be silver. But I’m guessing that they’re silverplate, not sterling.
