It is a silver armadillo basket that has 197 and the word copyright upside down…is it real? how much?
Hi there and thanks for joining us. If by “real” you ask if its solid silver, the answer is almost certainly not. Virtually all solid silver is marked as such with a purity mark, such as “sterling silver”, “925”, or if British, the legal silver hallmarks.
The number on your piece is probably a model or pattern number and its most likely either silver plated or some non-silver white metal.
