A bit more information would be helpful. If a plate is personalised… does that devalue the item at all?
It’s hallmarked sterling, so it’s worth at least its melt value. Weigh it, multiply by .925, then multiply by the current spot price of silver. A metal dealer would give you perhaps 70% of that.

The inscription does hurt its value as a collectable, particularly since it’s a relatively uninteresting one - just a “long service” award to an employee of a manufacturing company.
It’s also in need of a good cleaning and polishing!
