Silver fork hallmarks

Hi there, I’ve had no luck looking into winged animal hallmark, or what any of the marks mean really

. Any help is much appreciated.

The bird is the trade mark of the Potosi Silver Company which was set up by the Birmingham company Levi & Salaman to maker electroplate. The EP shows that this fork is electroplated. “A” indicates that this is second quality plating, A1 normally being top quality, and 18 dwts (pennyweights) is the amount of pure silver used in the plating process - normally spread over a dozen forks and spoons.
