I’ve had trouble identifying the hallmarks on an old silver pillbox I was given a while ago. If anyone can help me with age, origin and value I would be very grateful!

This is a Birmingham hallmark with what I think is the date letter y for 1898. HM is Henry Matthews. For value I suggest you have a look at completed auctions on Ebay to get an idea of of what people are willing to pay - you probably won’t of course find one exactly the same as yours but I’m sure you will find something sufficiently similar in size and age.
