Silver Plate Footed Candy/Sugar Cube Dish Identification Help

Hi, hoping someone can help identifying this candy dish?/sugar cube dish? I got at a thrift store. It has marks on the bottom that seem to have been scratched into the metal. Thanks in advance

These marks are from production and/or inventory control, and they can also be from a previous owner. In general, if this control is from production, it is for solid silver, but I have sometimes seen it on thick silver. It is very likely that there are other manufacturer markings on the piece, sometimes they are very small and discreet. With the images you showed, it is not possible to identify the manufacturer, unless someone finds an identical one using Google Lens.

I suggest that you carefully, piece by piece, examine the item under a magnifying glass and see if the glass (crystal) insert has any factory embossing.

Hi, I’m sendng closeup pics of the glass. I have a loupe, but it’s at my studio. I’m going to get it tomorrow and see if I can see any other marks or embossing. Do you think this is solid silver? Any idea as to the time period?
My Mother loves it; I thought I would polish it and give it to her.

I believe this type of glass is called Hobnail !!. I also believe it’s called Fenton Glass
