Silver Snuff Box Marks - Help

Anyone have any idea about these hallmarks? I have no idea. It’s a silver table snuff box (at least I think).

Those might be pseudo marks from Hanau Germany.

They are. I found a similar box in a Christies Catalog (October 2007 sale),. The box in the catalog is identical to mine in form but mine is silver. The box sold at Christies is enamel and gold. They assert that it was made in Germany around 1880 with psuedo hallmarks.

Now…the big question. What are psuedo hallmaks and why were they used?
